"New" Bullards Bar Reservoir is one of the premier kokanee waters in the state.

I limit the number of fisherman to just two. This enables me to give personalized instruction. We will not have to spend time untangling lines. My goal is to not only get you fish, but the larger goal is to teach you how to become a most excellent kokanee fisherman.

I supply all of the highest quality ultralight rods with Shimano Calcutta Reels, and custom Fish With Gary™ tackle. You will use full automatic electric downriggers. I have the latest fishfinders, GPS with lake contour cartography, temperature at depth, and light at depth electronics, and will show you how to use them to improve your fishing. I will teach you the necessary kokanee biology and growth cycles. I will teach you how to do much better at fighting and landing kokanee, despite their soft mouths and bad attitudes.

There is a healthy population of Ospreys at Bullards that entertain us with their territorial screeching, while showing us "their way" of catching kokes. Deer and other animals along the shore are common sights.

"New" Bullards Bar Reservoir has over 55 miles of irregular shoreline only accessible by boat. The spring run-off has many creeks flowing into it, and beautiful waterfalls are to be found and explored. Bullards Bar is about 35 minutes from Marysville or Nevada City.
